FOX has extended its deal with the Devil, and with Miami’s top forensic pathologist. The network has renewed its rookie dramas Lucifer and Rosewood for second seasons, it announced today.

Both shows have been doing relatively good in the ratings, Rosewood nicely boosted by its lead-out and ratings juggernaut Empire, and Lucifer profiting from the lead-in of The X-Files and now Gotham.

“We knew we had something special with Lucifer, from the engaging performances of Tom, Lauren and the rest of the charismatic cast, to Len Wiseman’s visually stunning look of the show and the amazing storytelling savvy of the Bruckheimer team,” said David Madden, president of entertainment at Fox. “With Rosewood, creator Todd Harthan has put a fresh, playful spin on the procedural format, infusing it with wit and warmth, while Morris, Jaina and the show’s gifted supporting cast have turned in fantastic performances. We look forward to two stand-out sophomore seasons from both series.”

These renewals leave Cooper Barrett’s Guide To Surviving Life, Bordertown, Second Chance, Sleepy Hollow, The Grinder, Grandfathered, Family Guy and New Girl as the remaining FOX shows without an official decision.
