NBC Predictions: Chicago Fire likely renewed, The Player cancelled

Chicago Fire

On Friday, NBC effectively pulled the plug on freshman drama series The Player. The network announced the show will not produce any more episodes than the current episode in production (episode nine). Clearly, the network has no intention on picking this show up for more episodes after this decision. Not that we needed this information, because we already predicted a certain cancellation for The Player due to quite horrible ratings.

In other news, Chicago Fire premiered a few weeks ago, a little after the Fall season on NBC kicked off. The show has been gathering good ratings and it is likely we will see this show back next season. Meanwhile Undateable is back with its live episodes and the show isn’t the worst comedy of the network. That’s a good thing I supose. Other than, that the show, as well as the even worse Truth Be Told, is just doing terrible. NBC just can’t catch a break in the comedy department.
