ABC cancels The Whispers after one season

The Whispers

ABC has officially cancelled The Whispers. The cancellation of The Whispers has long been suspected after ABC waited a long time to announce anything on the show’s future, even letting the options on the cast expire. The Whispers had been showing promise over the summer, but in the end ABC was apparently not pleased with the show.

In The Whispers, aliens figured out our greatest weakness: our children. Earth was invaded by an alien force that used our weakness to achieve world domination. All over the world, children started to see a not-so-imaginary friend which enticed them to play very dangerous games with real consequences. FBI agent Claire Bennigan was brought in to investigate the matter. While, halfway across the world in the Sahara desert, Wes Lawrence of the DoD discovered what looks like a space ship.
