Wisdom Of The Crowd is a drama attempting to make the combination of high tech and crime solving into a successful series. How? Well, of course, there is a rich guy who’s the head of a major tech company and who has lost someone close to him. Cue Jeffery Tanner (Jeremy Piven, Entourage). Tanner lost his daughter about a year ago when she was murdered, and although the perpetrator has been caught, Tanner believes they have the wrong guy. The most logical thing to do now is to build an online platform where everyone can help with the investigation by examining and adding evidence. With a million dollar incentive, it’s hard to imagine this will not turn into a massive witch hunt.

[You are probably expecting a trailer here. Unfortunately, for several of its upcoming series CBS has chosen to have all trailers taken down from all video platforms except CBS.com]

In the last couple of years, there have been numerous series which try to combine technology with crime fighting or medicine. None of these shows have really been able to stick around, and based on first impressions, Wisdom Of The Crowd won’t either. It doesn’t look like anything special, exciting or simply entertaining. Not to say the show will be bad, but it doesn’t look like it will have any sticking power.

Wisdom Of The Crowd will be up against America’s Funniest Home Videos on ABC, FOX’ The Simpsons and Ghosted, and Football Night in America on NBC. It might not be the toughest competition, but there’s a reason not many high profile shows air in this early Sunday timeslot.

Wisdom Of The Crowd airs on Sundays at 8/7c on CBS.
