Based on the book series by the same name written by Charlaine Harris, Midnight, Texas is a supernatural drama. The series is set in a remote Texas town where no one is who they seem, and where being normal is really quite strange. The town called Midnight is a safe haven for the abnormal with mysterious figures roaming the street like vampires, witches and hit men. All citizens work together to fight off pressures from the outside like rowdy biker gangs, suspicious cops, and even their own pasts. The townsfolk band together and form a strong and unlikely family.

The premise sounds a little weird, and let’s be honest, the trailer looks weird as well. Even though there are a lot of supernatural-themed series lately, Midnight, Texas seems to offer something unique. Only time will tell whether or not this means it will be an interesting and successful show. But so far, the series looks like it’s worth a shot, given you are into a supernatural series with a bit of horror.

It’s summertime, which means Midnight, Texas will have little competition in the form of scripted series. In fact, no scripted series are scheduled opposite the supernatural drama. Midnight, Texas will have to face off against To Tell The Truth on ABC, while the other networks air local programming. However, this doesn’t mean the series will become a ratings hit since summertime is always tough on scripted series.

Midnight, Texas has an uncertain fate.
