The Guest Book revolves around the lives of the employees of a group of rental cottages in a small mountain town, and the cottage visitors. Each episode focuses on a different guest star playing a vacationer, while the regulars portray the town’s residents. The series originated from writer and exec. Producer Greg Garcia (My Name Is Earl) and his habit of writing down fictional stories in the guest books of rental cabins he visits.

The Guest Book guest stars many well-known comedy actors such as Jaime Pressly (My Name Is Earl), Danny Pudi (Community), Jenna Fischer (The Office) and Lauren Lapkus (Orange Is The New Black), but its regular cast isn’t to be underestimated either. Army Wives’ Kellie Martin stars as Officer Kimberly Leahy, and The Game‘s Charlie Robinson portrays the role of Wilfred, an easygoing manager of rental cottages.

I’m honestly very excited about this series. Although I’m still wondering about the type of stories that will be featured, the cast is really winning me over. I also like the anthology setup, because it allows you to skip an episode if you don’t like the guest actor, which is always nice. However, it also means that if you like a guest actor (and their character) very much, you will be disappointed to see them go. Still, I can’t wait to watch this one!

The Guest Book is in between seasons. It is currently unknown when season 2 will premiere.
