FOX has renewed The Gifted for a second season just a few days ago. While its initial ratings were quite good, it declined to questionable levels later on in its season. It will be interesting to see how that will work out for the network next season. But fortunately for FOX, it’s not nearly a new The Exorcist.

FOX already premiered two new series and one returning series in 2018; airline comedy LA To Vegas, first responders drama 9-1-1 and sci-fi series The X-Files. Of those three, 9-1-1 got by far the best ratings, and it becomes an immediate Likely Renewal.

The X-Files‘ ratings weren’t bad at all either. As you may remember from last year, it will probably not be the ratings that determine whether it will be back, but the availabilities of Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny. We will list it as a Likely Renewal too for now.

LA To Vegas, finally, did also quite well for a new comedy. As usual, a lot can change during the first weeks of a new show, but for now it will become a Likely Renewal.
