Code Black

CBS just announced Code Black will be back for a third season. The medical drama had a relatively short second season of 16 episodes, and it’s likely the upcoming season will have a similar episode count. Code Black underwent a massive revamp in the second season, by adding Rob Lowe as a seasoned combat surgeon.

Based on a documentary by Ryan McGarry, Code Black is a medical procedural drama set in a Los Angeles emergency room that suffers from overcrowding and understaffing. The ER is lead by Residency Director Dr. Rorish (Marcia Gay Harden) and head nurse Salander (Luis Guzman). The story is mostly told through the eyes of four new residents (Benjamin Hollingsworth, Bonnie Sommerville, Melanie Chandra, and Harry Ford).

Great show. Real happy to see it’s back for another season. Rob Lowe is a great addition last season.
