Crime drama Rosewood will not return for a third season, FOX just announced. The series had its season (or rather series) finale on April 28, but due to low ratings, was already marked as a Likely Cancellation by us. Rosewood is the second show in a short time to be cancelled by FOX. Failing Fall show Pitch was cut last week.

Rosewood starred Morris Chestnut as a top private pathologist in Miami. In his state-of-the-art lab, he finds the secrets in dead bodies that others usually miss. Despite being surrounded by death, he is obsessively optimistic, which greatly annoys the female detective he often works with.

What a shame that you are dropping Rosewood. I think it is one of the best crime drama shows and very interesting and enjoyable to watch. All the actors are great together. Perhaps you could reconsider renewing.

    • It’s very unlikely FOX will change its mind. These decisions are usually very well thought through.
