It took a long time for the negotiations to be successful, but finally CBS was able to make a deal for The Big Bang Theory. The very successful drama has been renewed for two more seasons, each of 24 episodes. The renewal deal took a while to finalize since both Mayim Bialik (Amy) and Melissa Rauch (Bernadette) were unhappy with the huge salary difference between them and the original cast. It is said that Parsons, Cuoco, Galecki, Helberg and Nayyar (portraying Sheldon, Penny, Leonard, Howard, and Raj, respectively) all volunteered to have a pay cut to free up money for Bialik and Rauch. The Big Bang Theory‘s renewal comes just days after CBS had ordered Young Sheldon, a spinoff of The Bing Bang Theory, to series.
