Supergirl

CBS’ superhero series has been renewed for a second season. The big catch, though, is that the show will move to The CW, bringing that network’s number of DC Comics series to four.

After a previous crossover with The Flash, Supergirl‘s move to The CW looks like a seamless fit. What is less fitting is the budget of the series, though, coming in as the most expensive new series of the 2015-16 season. Therefore, production will move from Los Angeles to Vancouver, joining the other three Greg Berlanti The CW DC Comics superhero series, and other budget cuts will be made as well.

It will be interesting to see whether the show’s ratings level will also carry over to The CW. The CW is 50% owned by CBS Corporation.

I hope they all still a good paycheck. But, I am thinking this is the best home for the show. The crossover felt like a test for us to see if the audiences would mix.

    • Yes, that seems right. There were already talks about it moving from CBS to The CW when it was still in pilot phase (just like that show Ringer that nobody remembers did).
