CBS has announced its midseason schedule which includes two new scripted series and of course veteran series The Amazing Race and Big Brother.

Next year, CBS starts off with the 30th season premiere of The Amazing Race on January 3rd. On February 7, the show will move to a new time slot. From this day on, The Amazing Race will air two consecutive episodes each week. On this day Big Brother will start a new season, which is a special celebrity edition. Big Brother will then, as usual, air on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, all at 8/7c. Each Friday there will be a double episode of Big Brother. The two scripted series will have to face off against the Winter Olympics coverage on NBC, and saving some scripted series to have to do so.

When the Winter Olympics are done, the brand new comedy Living Biblically will premiere on Monday February 26 at 9:30/8:30c. This timeslot is currently occupied by 9JKL. The upcoming drama Instinct will take Wisdom Of The Crowd‘s place at Sunday at 8/7c starting March 11.

One noteworthy absence on the schedule is Elementary. The show received a full season order earlier this week, but will not be returning during CBS’ midseason. The show is likely on hold until spring and will continue into the summer.
