At the TCA press tour, President of CBS Entertainment Nina Tassler stated she was open to any pitches for a second season of their failing show . If the show were to get a second season it would almost certainly feature a new cast and premise. That is incredibly nice of her to say, but really, that’s not going to happen. Hostages has a tainted name so not many people will watch the second season, even if other people tell them how good it is. It would be a much smarter move to just make a new show which would not be associated with the name Hostages in order to give it a fair chance. Conclusion: Hostages remains certain to be cancelled.
CBS’ newest show premiered with a high rating on a Tuesday. However, the second episode, which aired in its regular timeslot on a Monday, dropped a whopping 50% in the ratings. This is not a good sign for Intelligence and as a result this series is downgraded to a Likely Cancellation. Maybe the show is going to have a comeback next week, because some people might not have realized the series moved to Mondays.
Last week we reported that the Friday shows and beat Sunday show , and came very close to beating , which is also a Sunday show. Usually the Friday shows rate quite a bit lower, but it looked like the tables were turning. However, this week everything seems to be back to normal. The Friday shows did significantly worse than the Sunday shows. As a result, The Good Wife is back to a Toss Up status.
